Thank you to the students of Eilmer House at Malmesbury Secondary School . They held some recent fundraising events and were kind enough to select Fatboys Charity as one of the charities they would donate to. We have received £115.50 from them and would lkike to take the opportunity to publicly thank all the students and staff involved for their generosity and hard work
Many Thanks to the Swindon RFC Under -13 team and Rizzo dressing as Santa in Swindon Town Centre raising money for Fatboys today. Even more admirable given that at around 10.30 last night Rizzo was a drooling vegetable in the corner of a pub in Bath following the works Xmas Do........All this is added to the £500+ raised from the bagging of groceries in Sainsbury's the other day. Thank you to everyone involved in raising money for Fatboys
The Four Pillars Hotel at the Cotswold Water Park near South Cerney have given their support to this year's Day of Lawlessness by offering up a range of prizes for the Auction and Raffle at this year's event. Up for grabs will be a night for two at this luxury hotel with breakfast included, a Sunday Carvery for Four and four passes to the wonderful Spa, where you can go to relax and forget the worries of the world. Thank you to Dom Haigh at the hotel for his support and to the Four Pillars Hotel chain.
Abbeyfield School in Chippenham recently handed over a cheque for £450-00 to Fatboys Charity following their Christmas Fayre, held at the school in December.
Students from the lower 6th Business Learning were tasked to set up and run the event and had just six weeks to sort everything out. Students decided to give the proceeds to Fatboys after the charity had helped one of their young friends when she was battling cancer. Sadly, young Hannah lost her fight against the deadly disease but so touched by Fatboys generosity, her friends wanted to give something back.
The students all worked incredibly hard to produce a fantastic Christmas Market that had something for everyone and it was great to see young people from aged 11 upwards taking part in this great event. Fatboys were there on the night and were truly impressed by the level of organisation and cooperation amongst the students. In an age when the youth are often much maligned, this event would have restored even the most hardened cynics faith in teenagers. Well done team Abbeyfield and thank you!
